Why Hunt?

Plus: Klean Freak Body Wipes Review & What's on the Radar for April

For most of human existence, hunting was a necessity to live. In recent years, not so much… I don’t think I know anyone who’s hunting on an empty stomach. But that doesn’t mean that in this day and age, there aren't still reasons to hunt:

  1. Time outdoors

    • You discover beautiful, hidden nooks of your local area as well as travel to new places you’d never have been to otherwise.

  2. High quality meat

    • Wild game is the most organic and naturally sourced meat you can get.

    • Great source of lean protein.

  3. Ethics

    • When you hunt, the ethics are in your hands. You can have peace of mind that the animal lived its most natural life. With that, you carry the responsibility of making sure the the animal was harvested in an ethical manner.

    • You can utilize each part of the animal and minimize waste.

  4. Time with friends & family

    • Some of the closest friendships are made & maintained with those you hunt with.

  5. Sense of accomplishment

    • After experiencing the many trials and tribulations that are a part of hunting, there is an immense sense of accomplishment when you finally do see success. That comes with great appreciation for both the pursuit and the harvest.

  6. Tradition

    • A big entry to hunting is simply being passed down through family tradition.

  7. Instinctual drive to hunt

    • As natural predators, we have an internal drive for hunting. Humans have an instinct for problem-solving, survival, and ability to endure that are all necessary for the pursuit.

  8. Personal development & perfecting a craft

    • Whether you delve into game calling or precision shooting, there are many ways to improve your craft of being both a better hunter and human.

  9. Survivalist mentality

    • I suppose hunting is a good skill to have if everything goes south😅

What did I miss?!

Product Review: Klean Freak Body Wipes

Score: 10/10

Not only do I use these while hunting, but running as well. We live on-the-go and these come in so handy. I‘ve used them post-”airport layover run” and on turkey hunting trips when we camp out with no shower. They can even be nice if I’m doubling up workout sessions and need to refresh in between.

They use natural ingredients and essential oils. The cloth is biodegradable, which is great for hunting and camping situations. They retain moisture through all different environments; freezing cold in my hunting backpack or scorching hot in the car during summer.

So great to have on hand with our lifestyle!!!
